Isabella had an exciting first Thanksgiving. We decided to take a little trip up the coast for four nights. We rented a home in Irish Beach near Mendocino Monday through Friday. It was gorgeous!!! The house was on top of a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. We had a relaxing time enjoying the beauties of California. One day we went into the small village of Mendocino and to Russian Gulch State Park. The next we went to a couple other small villages nearby and some beaches. Thanksgiving, we cooked a big meal and Uncle Tim, Aunt Lynda, and little Dean came up to spend some family time together. It was a wonderful trip. I must say though, we are still adjusting to traveling with a babe. It is definitely not as easy as it use to be, slower paced and much more tiring/work.

A beach hike.
Upon our return we found Santa wandering the street of Willow Glen. It was a nice surprise, but Isabella was more than just a little weary of the jolly old fellow.
Isabella is doing great! Her top two teeth are still breaking their way through her gums, making her a little more on edge and not as great of a sleeper. It's got to hurt! She is learning to put more and more sounds together. She loves saying "kitty cat" now along with a few other new words. She is still a food connoisseur. She is eating finger foods for about half of her solids. She eats anything you cut up and put in front of her. She is a great eater! She is also practicing standing on her own. She pulls up on something, lets go for a few seconds, then falls on her bootie with a big proud smile on her face. Pretty soon we will be chasing a walking babe!
Today she went to her first bat mitzvah. My boss' daughter Sarah had her bat mitzvah this morning. It was very cool to see the differences in religious ceremonies.
Isabella also has a new step cousin. Amery Jane Glass was born on Wednesday to my stepbrother Jeremy and his wife Amy. Congrats on your healthy baby girl!!
